Anchor Counselling would like to appoint several new trustees to help guide our highly respected, growing charity. Anchor helps people suffering from anxiety, depression or other emotional problems get back in control of their lives.
We provide talking therapy services to the NHS through our trained counsellors and have big plans to expand where and how we operate, both geographically and clinically.
In order to continue to grow and change Anchor would like to diversify its board both in terms of personal skills and backgrounds. In particular, we need people who can offer social media, health analytics, PR and business development skills as well as people with a clinical mental health or alternative therapies background, but we welcome approaches from anyone who shares our vision and who is interested in our work. We strongly believe that diversity helps to create success.
In terms of commitment, you will be required to attend a quarterly, three hour Board of Trustees meeting in West London as well being involved in the governance of Anchor, which is a registered charity. Board members tend to take responsibility for the development and scrutiny of areas they may have experience of, or show an interest in. Anchor’s success is very much dependent on the work of its board which works closely and harmoniously with the management team.
If this sounds like it could be you, please send your CV with a covering email to Bill Peace: email@example.com.
